When designing our product, we take extra time to make sure it is safe.  Even with lots of forethought, we still come up with additional improvements for added safety , especially when there is a high volume of use on a particular feature. One additional modification that we make available for our Boxcar rail is a coping connector for the face plate. As you can see in the pictures below, this add-on simply keeps the outside edges of the face plate from pulling away if accidentally caught by a snowboard or ski. If you have a Boxcar and you would like to add this feature, we sell a kit for $8.00  per face plate and included is two Polyurethane coping inserts, 2 washers, 2 screws and 2 set screws.
